Lyric Opera Berlin
is a new opera group in Berlin, Germany. Since 2015, Lyric Opera Berlin has delighted audiences with unique and interactive opera concerts featuring emerging professional artists from around the world. With a network of over 100 talented musicians and an infectious passion for music, Lyric Opera Berlin has developed an enthusiastic following of artists and audiences alike. Lyric Opera Berlin's Cabaret Opera Vino concerts are theme-based, and our full opera repertoire is upbeat and perfect for the opera newbie or connoisseur.
Our mission
is to create paid performance opportunities for singers and artists, and to provide accessible performances which will introduce new audiences to opera. Our performances are intimate, giving people a chance to connect not only with the music, but the performers and stories they are telling. The up-close-and-personal style of our Cabaret Opera Vino concerts offers a new perspective into the art of opera, and our full operas are fun and of the highest quality. We aim to inspire, reignite, and fuel a passion for opera and each performance is truly unforgettable.
Bridgette Brothers
Founder, Lyric Coloratura Soprano
Bridgette Brothers graduated from UMass Boston with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, and is a current student of Janet Williams-Berndt. In October of 2014, Bridgette relocated to Berlin, Germany, and shortly after founded the small opera company, Lyric Opera Berlin. Notable recent roles include Adele (Der Fledermaus), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and Mademoiselle Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor), among others. She is excited to continue learning the roles of Gilda (Rigoletto), and Norina (Don Pasquale). Ms. Brothers has sung with The Berlin Opera Group, Alltagsoper Berlin, Metrowest Opera, PORTopera, Italy Opera Viva, Crittenden Opera Studio, Metropolitan Chorale of Brookline, Vox Nova (Berlin), Harbor Choral Arts Society, The English Choir of Berlin, and is often a featured soloist in Opera Vino’s and other monthly concerts.
